Pathophysiologic characteristics of venous thrombosis
Abstract
Experimental and clinical studies are reviewed briefly to assess the role of the vessel wall, stasis, clotting factors and their inhibitors, and the fibrinolytic system in the pathogenesis of venous thrombosis.
