Audiogram results Figure 1. Audiogram results obtained prior to initiation of thiamine therapy were consistent with moderate sensorineural hearing loss bilaterally. Speech intelligibility was maximal at 81 dB in the right ear and 84 in the left with 2% whole word scoring bilaterally while pure tone average was 40 dB in the right and 42 dB in the left.
