The effect of nicotinamide on N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine induced killing and mutation
Abstract
Nicotinamide, an inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) synthesis has been found to increase the killing of Chinese hamster V-79 cells induced by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine in concentration dependent manner. Such treatment also decreased the induced mutation. The nature of the results obtained was similar to those obtained earlier with benzamide, another inhibitor.
