Images of computed tomography scans on day (d) 1 (on admission), 2, and 5 of a 40‐year‐old female who was intubated, sedated, and ventilated in the intensive care unit following a suicide attempt (hanging) and an overdose of anti‐anxiety medicine. Although free air was not seen on day 1, computed tomography scan of the chest and abdomen confirmed the presence of free intraperitoneal air without free fluid under the diaphragm (arrows). Left chest tube was inserted on day 2. Pneumoperitoneum was almost cleared with conservative management.
