Abstract
The 'Dangerous' ECG Abstract. This review aims to draw the attention of physicians confronted with cardiac emergencies to some specific ECG pathomorphologies in acute coronary syndrome and pulmonary embolism, as well as to malignant arrhythmias in hyperkalemia, drug-induced QTc prolongation, WPW, and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. If they are not detected the resultant failure to treat or incorrect treatment can have serious consequences for the patient and the doctor (liability consequences).
Zusammenfassung. Diese Übersicht möchte den mit kardialen Notfällen konfrontierten Arzt auf einige spezielle EKG-Pathomorphologien beim akuten Koronarsyndrom und der Lungenembolie sowie auf maligne Arrhythmien bei Hyperkaliämie, medikamenteninduzierter QTc-Verlängerung, beim WPW und bei arrhythmogener rechtsventrikulärer Kardiomyopathie aufmerksam machen. Deren Nichterkennung und eine daraus resultierende Nicht- oder Fehlbehandlung können schwerwiegende Konsequenzen für den Patienten und den Arzt (Haftpflichtfolgen) haben.
