Abstract

•Tumour lysis syndrome is an oncologic emergency.•Tumour lysis syndrome is most commonly encountered in hematologic malignancies.•Herein we report a case of tumour lysis syndrome in an endometrial stromal sarcoma.

(A) Gross Specimen. A 17 × 15 × 10 cm solid cystic necrotic mass replaced the uterine fundus. (B) The tumour was extensively necrotic and where viable, consisted of large pleomorphic cells resembling those seen in the ascitic fluid (C) Cytology. CD10 was positive in tumour cells.
