The graph displays the number of patients with HBV reactivation due to cancer chemotherapy on the x axis. The data were collected in an international survey of the AASLD membership and are based on reports from 99 health care providers (see reference 8 for further details). The countries of origin of the patients are to the left, followed by their race and type of malignancy. Other types of cancer included bone, brain, gastrointestinal, retinoblastoma, round cell, sarcoma, teratoma and four cases of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Clinical outcomes of HBV reactivation in 188 patients. This study revealed that interruption of cancer chemotherapy, defined as either delay in initiation or premature discontinuation, was common. Based on data presented in reference 10.
