Proposed mechanism of how circPRKCI promotes lung adenocarcinoma tumorigenesis. Amplification of PRKCI gene increases expression of circPRKCI, which function as a sponge for miR-545 and miR-589 and thus releases them from mRNA of oncogenic transcription factor E2F7 and promoting lung adenocarcinoma tumorigenesis [adopted according to reference (24) with permission].
