Histopathologic findings. Conspicuous leukocytoclasis, nuclear debris, and intravascular fibrin deposition supports a diagnosis of leukocytoclastic vasculitis. Sparse eosinophils are scattered. Extravasated erythrocytes were seen in other sections. Periodic acid–Schiff and Gram stains (not shown) were negative for bacterial and fungal organisms.
