[Interaction of labetalol with alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors : biochemical study (author's transl)]
Abstract
The interaction of a new antihypertensive agent, labetalol was demonstrated in subcellular preparations enriched in alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors. This result give direct confirmation of pharmacological data observed in isolated organs and in vivo. It illustrates the value of biochemical studies of receptors in order to define the mechanism of action of drugs.
