Histopathological examination with hematoxylin–eosin staining showed (B) thickened epithelium with infiltration beneath the basement membrane (arrows) (magnification × 40) and (C) nuclear enlargement and increased mitotic figures in the basal layer (magnification × 400), consistent with squamous cell carcinoma.
