[Rare causes of the Brown-Séquard syndrome. NMR tomographic findings]
Abstract
In two patients with the classical form of Brown-Séquard's syndrome magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed circumscribed intramedullary foci in the spinal cord at the level of T 10 and C 5, respectively. In the one patient, viral myelitis had been diagnosed by tests on serum and cerebrospinal fluid; in the other, spinal contusion from the history and the course of the illness. MRI demonstrated complete regression of the foci in both patients.
