Peripheral smear of a patient on dapsone for 4 weeks who experienced drop in hemoglobin of 2 g/dL associated with increase in lactate dehydrogenase and indirect bilirubin with undetectable haptoglobin, consistent with hemolysis. Numerous “bite cells” (arrows) are present.
