Principles underlying the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS) pandemic approach. Our approach is centered around protecting the core activities of Clinical Care, Research and Education at our Center. To achieve this, there is a strategy based on four main principles. These are: (i) providing for staff welfare and protecting against burn-out, (ii) multifaceted infection control measures, (iii) redesignation and prioritization of essential resources within the hospital, and (iv) adaptable workflows that are interfaced with the National Disease Outbreak Response System Condition risk levels and hospital policies, while remaining amenable to fine-tuning according to the evolving needs of the Cancer Center.
