Cas clinique d’un enfant ayant eu des bronchiolites, puis un asthme du nourrisson sévère, contrôlé, avec apparition progressive d’une fatigue inexpliquée et d’une dyspnée d’effort sans aucun autre symptôme. Découverte d’un syndrome obstructif sévère, avec recours à une corticothérapie orale progressivement efficace. Traité actuellement par azithromycine, ipratropium, CSI dépendant. CSI : corticothérapie inhalée, AZT : azithromycine.

Éfficacité de l’azithromycine en alternance chez 61 enfants tousseurs chroniques (toux non productive). Une amélioration complète ou significative (partielle) est obtenue dans 2/3 des cas.
