Suicide increment during and afterwards a pandemic is highly common.
- •
This study reports COVID-19 suicide cases in Pakistan for the first time.
- •
Most of the suicides occur due to lockdown-related economic recession.
- •
Fear of infection is the second suicide contributing factor.
- •
Lockdown-related unemployment aggravates the life-threatening situation.
