Abstract

  1. Suicide increment during and afterwards a pandemic is highly common.

  2. This study reports COVID-19 suicide cases in Pakistan for the first time.

  3. Most of the suicides occur due to lockdown-related economic recession.

  4. Fear of infection is the second suicide contributing factor.

  5. Lockdown-related unemployment aggravates the life-threatening situation.
