Item 42: Urinary catheter insertion and care
Twenty-one juniors (77.7%) had either a decrease or no improvement in self-assessment ratings of urinary catheter insertion and care. A Wilcoxon signed-rank test (W) indicated no significant improvement in the juniors’ scores, despite previous education (W = 44, P = .721). In contrast, the seniors demonstrated a significant upward trend in self-assessment ratings for this task (W = 173.5, P = .003).
