Gastric Outlet Obstruction
Excerpt
Gastric outlet obstruction (GOO) is a clinical syndrome that presents with various symptoms, including abdominal pain, postprandial vomiting, early satiety, and weight loss. This condition can result from either a benign or malignant mechanical obstruction or a motility disorder that interferes with gastric emptying. Anatomically, mechanical obstructions can occur in the distal stomach, pyloric channel, or duodenum, either intrinsic or extrinsic to the stomach.
