COX-2 converts arachidonic acid into PGs, including PGE2 in intestinal fibroblasts. PGE2 induces expansion of SCA-1+ reserve intestinal stem-like cells via an EP4-Yap1 pathway. PGE2 also accelerates intestinal adenoma formation accompanied by SCA-1+ cell expansion via an EP4-Yap1 pathway.
