The presence of RNase II in high salt washed E. coli ribosomes: effect on circular dichroism of ribosomal complexes
Abstract
Traces of the exonuclease RNAse II are retained by E. coli ribosomes purified by conventional high salt washing. The residual activity can give rise to serious artifacts, especially in physical studies.
