Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Nonoperative treatment
Abstract
Various nonoperative treatments are discussed. In the authors' clinics, the Milwaukee brace is used occasionally for the patient with a thoracic scoliosis in whom the electrical stimulator could not be used, or when the parents wish to try another form of nonoperative therapy when the stimulator has failed. The Milwaukee brace is still the treatment of choice for juvenile idiopathic scoliosis.
