Generalized model of T-cell and B-cell (plasmablast, antibody) responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection projected over 1 year following infection. Neutralizing antibodies, memory 4 B cells, and CD4+ and CD8+ memory T cells to SARS-CoV-2, which are generated by infection, vaccination, or after reexposure, are key to the path to immunity. The dotted lines represent peak B-cell, T-cell, and antibody responses following infection.
