The instructions for use of the Abbott assay indicate an index value threshold for positivity at 1.40 arbitrary units (au), without grey zone. We defined an equivocal zone for Abbott SARS-CoV-2 IgG assay between the mean of Abbott SARS-CoV-2 IgG-negative index values + 2 standard deviations (SD) [0.380 = 0.070 + 2 × 0.155 au] and the Abbott positivity threshold.
