Abstract

Recent events, such as the Bhopal, India tragedy, dramatically illustrate the potential consequences of acute exposure to toxic inhalants. This article covers problems in clinical management of the toxic gases, mists and fumes that are capable of inducing acute lung injury or systemic toxicity.
