Comparing the 10% of healthy individuals with the lowest CRELD1 expression to the 10% with the highest CRELD1 expression suggested a role for CRELD1 in regulating an expression signature associated with immunological aging and maintaining T cell homeostasis. Conditional T cell specific Creld1 ablation in mice established this finding and further indicated that Creld1 in T cells promotes NFAT and Wnt signaling.
