Cornelia Schaefer-Prokop is Professor of Radiology at Hanover Medical School in Germany. After training in Germany she held academic positions in Hanover, Vienna, Austria, Amsterdam and later Nijmegen in the Netherlands. She was president of the European Society of Thoracic Imaging and is board member of the Fleischner Society. Her research covers pulmonary CTA, HRCT and artificial intelligence applications in chest radiology. She is part of the Dutch COVID-19 working group.

He is member of the Fleischner Society and has earned various honors of German, British, Austrian, Hungarian and European Societies of Radiology. He has worked on spiral CT, CTA, chest screening and introduced the CO-RADS score for COVID-19.
