Abstract

In this issue of Developmental Cell, Cui et al. use a mouse model of maternal infection to identify that the embryonic choroid plexus propagates maternal inflammatory signals into the developing brain by enhancing macrophage infiltration across the choroid plexus barrier and releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines.
