Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Clinical features in 34 cases and review of literature
Abstract
The clinical features of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo are analysed in 34 patients. These features are detectable by careful examination and are explained by an abnormal stimulation of a posterior semicircular canal of the labyrinth. Cupulolithiasis could be the mechanism which makes this cupula gravity-sensitive.
