Trends in confirmed COVID-19 cases in Shizuoka Prefecture. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases per day in Shizuoka Prefecture from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. The first wave was in April 2020, the second was in August 2020, and the third was in January 2021. Arrows indicate the duration of the Declaration of a State of Emergency in response to COVID-19.

Monthly number of dispatches in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture in before the COVID-PP and during the COVID-PP. February 2021 was the only month in the COVID-PP in which the number of dispatches exceeded that in the before COVID-PP. This trend was the reverse of the recent trends in transportation by HEMS because the number of transportations had been increasing year by year, with the aging of society in Japan.
