SiG, DE, SaG, EL, DMcM, and CAC-G each obtained funding for and designed the NIHR COVID-19 behavioural activation in social isolation (BASIL) trials. BASIL is funded by NIHR Programme Grants for Applied Research (grant number RP-PG-0217-20006). DE is a member of the committee that adopts and monitors studies for the NIHR Urgent Public Health COVID-19 Studies programme. DMcM is an independent member of the trial steering committee for the Co-CAT trial, which is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) mental health programme. JW is Director of the Bradford Institute for Health Research, and is Director of the NIHR Yorkshire and Humberside Applied Research Collaboration. He was in charge of the delivery of NIHR Urgent Public Health COVID-19 Studies (including the RECOVERY trial) in an NHS hospital trust (Bradford Royal Infirmary and the Bradford Institute for Health Research). CC is principal investigator for the CoCAT trial (funded by the DHSC and UKRI mental health programme) and co-investigator for the SPARKLE trial and Co-SPACE study (both funded by the UKRI COVID-19 responsive mode).
