Dr Wells trained, graduated, and completed specialty training in New Zealand but found his true home, personally and professionally, in the UK. He is a professor at the Royal Brompton Hospital and affiliated to Imperial College. He specializes in interstitial lung disease. His research focus is clinical science, applied to clinical evaluation, management, and translational work. He has over 500 publications, is a member of the Fleischner Society and is President-Elect of the World Association of Sarcoidosis and other Granulomatous Diseases.
