Abstract

De literatuur over COVID-19 beschrijft voornamelijk patiënten in ziekenhuizen of op ic-afdelingen. Wij analyseerden de dossiergegevens van patiënten die tijdens de ‘eerste golf’ (maart-mei 2020) in Noord-Brabant een isolatiespreekuur bezochten en bij wie de huisarts COVID-19 vermoedde. Van deze populatie moest 5% in het ziekenhuis worden opgenomen, kreeg 2,7% cardiovasculaire complicaties en hield 9% restklachten. Patiënten die moesten worden opgenomen, waren gemiddeld ouder, vaker man en hadden vaker overgewicht en een voorgeschiedenis van coronaire hartziekte, hartfalen of diabetes.
