Organisms with adenine methylation
To quantify the amount of N6-methyl-2’-deoxyadenosine (6mA) present in genomic DNA, single-molecule real-time sequencing (SMRT-seq) data are analyzed with 6mASCOPE. In 6mASCOPE, small DNA fragments are produced, adaptors are added, and high-coverage SMRT-seq is performed. 6mASCOPE is a reference-free analysis method that deconvolutes SMRT-seq data to identify the source of 6mA.
