Abstract
The report discusses a surgical procedure for prevention of pyo-inflammatory complications and peritonitis tested experimentally in 21 rabbits and clinically in 44 patients with colorectal cancers. The frequency of pyo-inflammatory complications was reduced following a reinforcement of anastomosis sutures with autoplastic materials in a procedure employing extraperitonization.
