Anorexia nervosa
Abstract
Anorexia nervosa is a complex neuroendocrine-psychiatric illness that affects adolescents; its origins and pathophysiology are still poorly understood. The typical psychologic and physiologic characteristics of the illness are discussed, and the multidisciplinary team approach to diagnosis and management is outlined.
