Cell-free plasma RNA signatures as a surrogate biomarker of pregnancy health
Abstract
Molecular diagnostics based on sequencing of plasma cell-free DNA has transformed obstetric care by accurately diagnosing fetal aneuploidy in early pregnancy. Rasmussen et al. now report plasma cell-free RNA profiling that could transform obstetrics by providing comprehensive molecular monitoring of pregnancy progression for both healthy and complicated pregnancies such as preeclampsia.1.
