Cause to Pause: Preventing medication errors with high-risk opioids
Abstract
Preventable medication errors cause nearly 9,000 deaths annually, though this number may be low due to underreporting. This article uses a case study to examine how the "cause to pause" safety strategy can help prevent medication errors.
