[Effect of vinblastine on the proliferative and immune responses of the lymphoid cells of the draining lymph node and spleen in mice undergoing regional immunization with ram erythrocytes]
Abstract
It was found that vinblastine administered 48 hours after immunization of mice by sheep red cells produced a long-term (for up to 3 days) suppression of 3H-thymidine inclusion into lymphoid cells following a 8-12-hour latent period. This was accompanied with a complete elimination of humoral response of the draining lymph node and a five-fold decrease of the number of antibody-forming cells in the spleen.
