The retraction has been agreed upon following the recent confirmation regarding an internal investigation that was conducted by the Institutional Office for Research Integrity (UIR) at the National Institute for Cancer Research, Genova, Italy, in 2009, which found evidence of fabricated/duplicated data within the article.
