Left lung from a 33-year-old male brain-dead donor after cold flush preservation with low-potassium dextran glucose solution, extraction and split on the back table. Near complete atelectasis of the left lower lobe is noted. Lung parenchyma could not be recruited in-situ prior to circulatory arrest. The left lung was finally not accepted for transplantation.
