A series of periapical radiographs (PR) for our case. (A) Preoperative PR of the mandibular left second molar revealed previous amalgam filling and deep recurrent caries. (B) Postoperative PR showed full pulpotomy with CEM cement as well as amalgam restoration. (C) 4-year recall PR demonstrated successful outcomes; i.e. normal PDL and dentin bridge formation at canal orifices. (D) 6-year recall PR indicated recurrent caries and destruction of previous fillings. (E) Immediate renewal of pulp protection and coronal restoration using CEM biomaterial and resin-based dental composite restorative material. (F) 10-year recall PR demonstrated successful outcomes.
