Number of ivermectin prescriptions per month for patients with COVID-19 in Japan. Ivermectin prescription trends (number of prescriptions per month) for patients with COVID-19 in Japan from January 2020 to November 2021. The gray bars show the number of ivermectin prescriptions per month for patients with COVID-19 listed in the Medical Data Vision hospital-based administrative database, which includes data from approximately 20% of all acute care hospitals in Japan. The line shows the number of COVID-19 cases in Japan per month in the same period. The total number of patients with COVID-19 and COVID-19-related deaths in Japan during this study was 1,726,851 and 18,360, respectively.
