Intravenous leiomyoma with intracardiac extension causing sudden death

D A Roman et al. Arch Pathol Lab Med. 1987 Dec.

Abstract

A 43-year-old woman with a three-year history of syncope is described. No cause for her symptoms was discovered until a postmortem examination revealed an intravenous leiomyoma within the left renal vein that extended to the right ventricle of the heart. A review of the literature is presented.
