Earlobe augmentation

Earlobe augmentation

B I Jemec. Aesthetic Plast Surg. 1986.

Abstract

The importance of the earlobes in the aesthetics of the aging face is stressed, and a method is presented by which the atrophic earlobe is augmented and reinnervated by the use of a shaved preauricular flap. The method is suggested for reestablishing sensation in the earlobes after denervation, and as an improvement or adjunct of the traditional rhytidectomy.
