[Contractile function and energy metabolism of the myocardium during emotional stress and adaptation of animals to brief exposure to stress]
Abstract
A long-term emotional stress induced a decrease of glycogen, impaired the processes of oxygation and phosphorylation in mitochondria of the cardiac muscle and suppressed the heart contractile function in rats. A preliminary adaptation of rats to short stress effects prevented these alterations.
