Endoscopic endonasal recanalization of the obliterated eustachian tube via ureteral stent
Abstract
Eustachian tube recanalization is a feasible procedure but additional studies are needed to determine its safety. Eustachian tube closure can result from different etiologies and can cause severe symptoms. Ureteral stents have appropriate shape and pliability for placement and long-term healing. Multidisciplinary team approach allows for simultaneous endonasal and otologic approaches.
