Jonathan R. Weir-McCall, PhD, is a university lecturer at the University of Cambridge and cardiothoracic radiologist at the Royal Papworth Hospital. His research interests lie in the use of cardiovascular CT and MRI for better understanding of how these can be used to improve patient treatment and outcomes in structural and coronary artery disease. He also sits on the guideline committee of the SCCT, the Certification and Accreditation Committee of the EACVI, and the Diagnostics Advisory Committee of NICE.

James Shambrook, BM, trained as a radiologist in Wessex in the United Kingdom. His fellowship in cardiothoracic radiology was at University Hospital Southampton, where he was subsequently appointed as a consultant in 2009. University Hospital Southampton provides tertiary cardiothoracic services to the UK central south coast. Dr Shambrook's clinical interests include adult and pediatric cardiac MRI and CT as well as thoracic oncology imaging. Dr Shambrook is the current president of the BSCI/BSCCT.
