Factors associated with poor access to diagnostics and medicines for asthma and COPD and multidimensional potential solutions. Low prioritization by policy makers, forces of demand and supply, and weak health systems are major factors that influence access. These factors are influenced by factors such as knowledge of disease burden, doctor-related factors, and socioeconomic and cultural factors. COPD = chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; LMIC = low- and middle-income country.
