FIGURE 2:
Article views and Badge usage of MBoC Preprint Highlights. (A) The fraction of Preprint Highlights including each Badge, computed for all Preprint Highlights published as of May 31, 2023 (n = 68). (B) Lifetime accumulated views for Preprint Highlights. (C) Mean ± SD for views of Preprint Highlights (n = 66) or all articles more than 60 d old (n = 409). Data as of April 28, 2023, for articles published between March 23, 2022, and April 20, 2023.
FIGURE 3:
FIGURE 3:
Preprint Highlights were followed by increased preprint views on bioRxiv. Lifetime monthly abstract views were downloaded from bioRxiv on April 1, 2023, for 59 highlighted preprints and 58 comparable preprints of the same age. Monthly views were aligned to 0 as the month of the corresponding Preprint Highlight. (A) Examples of 10 individual preprints, with monthly views normalized to each preprint’s total lifetime views. Each line represents one preprint. (B) Average and median month-to-month change in views for highlighted preprints (dark blue, light blue) and median month-to-month change in views for comparison preprints not highlighted (gray).
