[The adult mentally handicapped in psychiatry. Etiologic study with research on the fragile X chromosome]
Abstract
The origin of mental retardation is up to now largely unknown. The present study stows the traditional diagnosis away and insists on new genetic notions such as the fragile X chromosome. These new methods may offer help and advice to the family of the mentally handicapped.
